Nice to meet you! My name is Maddalena and AmigurumiAmo is my home, a place where I create sweet amigurumis and crochet accessories with only three ingredients (like the Japanese Cotton Cheesecake LOL): a crochet hook, a basket full of yarn balls and a lot of love.
My first attempt with amigurumi technique was Amineko the cat, I found a japanese pattern on the web and I decided to make one for my baby (the result was ugly!!)
After many attempts and meters of yarn my amigurumis were a bit more watchable so I made a lot of bookmarks as a Christmas gift for familiar and friends. They had a lot of success and this helped me to create other carachters using free patterns that I founded on the web and taking part to an handmade market.
In that market I sold almost all my items and i took some custom orders, I was so happy and I feel for the first time that I can do something beautiful.
I decided to start a blog, but the name? I choosed this name because Amigurumi is the heart of my work and Amo in italian means love but if you read the complete word AmigurumiAmo sounds like a purpose to do something together.
Thats why in this years I've published a lot of free patterns designed by me and made some workshops, because I believe in the power of share and give.
Now I want to invite you to visit my shop, a little piece of my world made of sweet amigurumis and crochet accessories for newborn babies created with care and love.
Thank you so much for stopping here!
Hugs, Magdalene

Nice to meet you! I'm Maddalena and AmigurumiAmo is my home, a place where I create sweet amigurumi and crochet accessories with only three ingredients (a bit like for the Japanese cheesecake LOL): a crochet, a basket full of balls and a lot of love.
My first approach with the amigurumi technique was the Amineko cat, the scheme was free and in Japanese but this could not stop me because I had already decided to make it for my baby with a chilling result to say the least.
After many attempts and meters of wool my amigurumi were a little more watchable so as to decide to make bookmarks to give to relatives and friends for Christmas. Contrary to my expectations, they were liked and this enthusiasm helped me to continue creating new characters using the free schemes I found on the web and throwing myself into the adventure of a market.
Incredible but true in this market almost all my works were sold and I received personalized orders! I was really incredulous but happy and this made me realize for the first time that I could do something really beautiful.
I decided to start a blog, but the name? I chose this name because Amigurumi (understood as a technique and as a finished object) is the heart of my work, I love because it expresses my state of mind in working but also because if read in full AmigurumiAmo sounds like an invitation, a proposal to do something together.
This is why over the years I have published many free schemes designed by me and I have held courses to teach the amigurumi technique, I believe in the power of sharing and giving.
Now I want to invite you to visit my shop, a small piece of my world made of sweet amigurumi and crochet accessories for babies waxed with care and love.
Thank you so much for stopping here!
A hug, Maddalena
